Traffic policemen encouraged for brilliant performance

Islamabad, June 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Syed Karrar Hussain on Monday awarded 16 policemen over their brilliant performance and urged them to continue hard work for convenience to citizens. Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil ur Rehman, SSP (Traffic) Syed Karar Hussain reviewed the performance of traffic police during last week. He awarded commendation certificates to those showing good performance and issued warning to policemen involved in sluggish policing. Policemen awarded by the SSP (Traffic) included Inspectors Khan Ghawas, Muhammad Hyat, Sub-Inspectors Shaukat Nawaz, Adil, Raja Riaz, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Mian Riaz, Shafaqat, Muhammad Ejaz, Imran, Tufail, Mazhar Jadoon, Amjad Khan, Sajjad Ahmed, Head Constables Muhammad Idrees, Imran Khan and Constable Nazeer Ahmed.

He said that Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) would continue accountability process to improve functioning of department and bring efficiency in policing affairs. The SSP (Traffic) Syed Karrar Hussain said that special measures are being taken to make Islamabad accident free city and ensure smooth traffic flow. Implementation on traffic rules is very much crucial to avoid accidents and campaigns would be launched to ensure traffic discipline in the city, he added.

The SSP (Traffic) said that police officials should ensure effective command and control system while dealing with their subordinates. He said that education teams of ITP are active in various areas of city while its FM Radio 92.4 is giving updates to citizens about traffic flow on main avenues. He said that ITP would continue its efforts for safe road environment in the city.
