Islamabad: A three-year-old boy abducted from Centaurus Mall has been safely recovered, and the woman responsible for his kidnapping has been arrested, according to local police. The incident began when a citizen reported to the Margalla police station that his son, Muhammad Azlan, had been taken by unknown individuals.
Upon receiving the report, Islamabad police swiftly registered a case and launched an investigation. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, responded immediately by forming special teams led by senior police officials to ensure the child’s safe return and the apprehension of the suspect.
Utilizing modern technology, including Safe City cameras and human intelligence, the police were able to trace and apprehend the accused in a short timeframe. The child was subsequently reunited with his parents, who expressed their gratitude for the police’s efforts.
Both Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and DIG Tariq commended the police teams for their performance, announcing certificates of appreciation and rewards for those involved.
IGP Rizvi highlighted that the Islamabad Police have successfully resolved multiple major cases this year, emphasizing their commitment to protecting citizens and ensuring justice through solid evidence. He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the Pucar-15 helpline.
