Raipur, Three Indian police informers were killed by unknown persons in disturbed Chhattisgarh state in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the three villagers, reportedly police informers, were slaughtered in Chote Bethiya area of Kanker in the state a few hours before Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kanker, yesterday.
The naxals reportedly abducted three of the villagers on the suspicion of police informers on Wednesday evening and they slaughtered the hostages. Next day in the morning villagers found the mutilated bodies of the kidnapped villagers, the police claimed.
While speaking to the media, Kanker SP Divyang Patel confirmed that he received information about the bodies of the villagers found in the forest and sent the police teams to verify and report back to the district headquarters.
Meanwhile, all the three killed villagers were identified as Kulle Katlami (35), Manoj Kowachi (22) and Dugge Kowachi (27).
This year, in the last nine months, six of the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders were killed by unknown persons in Bastar division and issued life threats to villagers and polling parties if they participated in the electoral process in the state.
