Three more Indian Rajya Sabha members suspended 

New Delhi, July 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian Parliament, adopted a motion to suspend three more members, for the rest of the week, on charges of disrupting the proceedings of the House. The members Sushil Kumar Gupta and Sandeep Kumar Pathak of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and independent member Ajit Kumar Bhuyan were suspended and the total number of members suspended from the Rajya Sabha has gone up to 23.

As soon as the House assembled after the first adjournment, Opposition members continued to protest in the House. Deputy Chairman Harivansh then named the three members for holding placards and raising slogans. Thereafter, V Muraleedharan, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, moved a motion to suspend the three members.
