Three Key Bills Introduced in Pakistan’s Senate Session

Islamabad, During a session of the Senate at the Parliament House in Islamabad, chaired by Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, three significant bills were introduced for legislative consideration. The session focused on private members’ business, with the Senate also acknowledging the Diwali festival celebrated by the Pakistani Hindu community.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, reported that the bills introduced include “The Banking Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2023,” “The Pakistan Names and Emblems (Prevention of Unauthorised Use) (Amendment) Bill, 2023,” and “The Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2023.” Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani referred these bills to the standing committees concerned for further review and discussion. The introduction of these bills marks a step forward in the legislative process and reflects the Senate’s ongoing efforts to address diverse areas of governance and public interest.
