Jammu: Three Indian Army personnel were killed when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in the Ramban district of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident occurred near the Battery Chashma area as the Army truck was traveling from Jammu to Srinagar. The vehicle rolled down a 600-foot-deep gorge.
Official sources reported that rescue teams were dispatched immediately. However, all three soldiers were pronounced dead upon the teams’ arrival at the bottom of the gorge.
The soldiers have been identified as Amit Kumar, Sujit Kumar, and Man Bhadur. A rescue operation continues with involvement from the Police, Army, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and civil QRT Ramban volunteers, officials stated.
