Jammu: The bodies of three men were found in a hotel room in the Bhadarwah area of Doda district, located in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. Authorities are investigating the incident, with early indications pointing towards asphyxiation as the cause of death.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the individuals have been identified as Mukesh Singh from Domana, Jammu; Ashutosh Singh Rana from Bhela, Doda, currently residing in Purkhoo, Jammu; and Sunny Choudhary. Sandeep Mehta, the Senior Superintendent of Police in Doda, reported that the initial inquiry suggests that the deaths might have resulted from asphyxiation.
“There was no response after repeated knocks on the room door,” Mehta explained. “Subsequently, the door was broken open, and police found three individuals unconscious—two lying on the bed and one in the washroom.”
Mehta also noted that medical and forensic teams were summoned to the scene, where doctors declared all three men deceased. Initial findings indicate that a charcoal heater found inside the room may have caused the asphyxiation. Authorities are awaiting forensic reports as investigations continue.
