Rawalakot, September 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): People turned up in thousands to attend the funeral of Hurriyat activist Muhammad Riaz alias Abu Qasim in Rawalakot city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, today.
Muhammad Riaz was shot dead by an unidentified person inside a mosque when he was offering Fajar prayers in Rawalakot city, today.
People from various walks of life including Kashmiri migrants participated in the funeral prayers of the freedom activist held at Jamia Masjid Al Qudus in Rawalakot.
Muhammad Riaz belonged to Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the Indian atrocities had forced him to migrate to Azad Kashmir. His father Haji Muhammad Azam was a prominent Hurriyat leader who was martyred by the Indian troops two decades ago in Poonch.
