Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: In a series of military operations over two days in February, Pakistani security forces killed thirteen militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, demonstrating ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations, the operations were launched following reports of militant presence in several districts. In Dera Ismail Khan’s Khulachi area, an intelligence-led operation resulted in the deaths of five militants, including Shah Gul, also known as Rohani.
Separate engagements in North Waziristan’s Dosali and Tappi areas saw the death of five more militants after exchanges of fire with security forces. In Lakki Marwat District, two militants were killed in another encounter.
In Khyber District’s Bagh area, security forces neutralized an additional militant. The operations also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the deceased militants, who were reportedly involved in various attacks against security forces and civilians.
Sanitization operations are ongoing as Pakistani security forces aim to eradicate any remaining militant presence in the region, underscoring their commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country.
