Lahore, April 13, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that departmental promotions from Constable to SP rank in Punjab Police are underway as per merit and seniority. IG Punjab said that the departmental promotion and increase in rank is actually a reflection of the increase in the responsibilities of the police officer which requires more hard work and conscientious performance of duties than before.
Dr. Usman Anwar said that the officers who were promoted from the rank of Inspector to DSP should convey the honour received from the department to the people by performing their duties and providing service to the people and in solving the problems of the citizens promptly.
IG Punjab said that the promoted officers should perform whatever new posting they get with full of hard work, sincerity and honesty and get the best performance from the subordinate staff by making good use of their field experience. He expressed these views while speaking at the rank pinning ceremony to the officers promoted from Inspector to DSP rank at the Central Police Office today.
According to the details, a special ceremony was organized by IG Punjab in honour of the officers who were promoted to the rank of DSP, in which IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Additional IGs and other officers conferred the promoted officers with the rank of DSP.
Relatives of the promoted DSPs also participated in the rank placement ceremony. IG Punjab congratulated promoted officers and issued orders to perform duties more diligently than before. Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Logistics and Procurement Raja Riffat Mukhtar, Additional IG Operations Shahzada Sultan, DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar, DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed, DIG IT Ahsan Younis along with other officers were present at the ceremony.
