Lahore, July 10, 2023 (PPI-OT): Under the direction of Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Punjab Highway Patrol Force is active in community policing along with ensuring the safety of citizens on national highways. Spokesperson of Punjab Police said that the patrolling police saved the woman who tried to commit suicide by tying the children with her from jumping into the canal. 03 tried to jump into the Farooqabad Canal along with young children, ASI Imran Shehzad got information about this woman trying to commit suicide along with her children during daily patrolling, ASI Imran Shehzad along with his team reached the spot immediately. By taking timely action, the woman and children were saved from suicide, the children’s ages are three, seven and five years respectively.
ASI Imran Shehzad fed the woman and her children and persuaded her to desist from committing suicide, spokesperson Punjab Police said that 04 precious lives could be saved with the timely action of the Punjab Patrolling Police Team. Punjab congratulated the patrolling team of Dr. Usman Anwar who saved the lives of the woman and her children. Additional IG Punjab Highway Patrol directed the patrolling team to continue their duties with more zeal and passion. DIGP PHP Dr. Athar Waheed said that protecting the life and property of the people and serving the people is the motto of the Khalq Patrol Police and in this regard, no effort will be spared to deliver the best service to the citizens.
