Islamabad, May 03, 2023 (PPI-OT): The meeting of the Special Committee of the National Assembly for Affected Employees was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Qadir Khan Mandukhel at Pakistan Institute of Parliamentary Services Hall.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the non-attendance of the DG of Radio Pakistan called the committee immediately and ordered to regularize 35 researcher/coordinator staff of PTV, also to regularize 70 researcher and coordinator staff of Radio Pakistan. Order to regularize 10 employees of PTV, Naeem Al Asad, order to increase pension and restore commutation of 650 pensioners of PTV from July 1 every year.
Humera Rana, an employee of PTV, told the committee. Stating that she was recruited in 2007 and was also removed from the staff list and programs are not being offered due to which she is facing financial problems, the committee ordered that Humera Rana be reinstated to her old status with full benefits.
On the invitation of the committee, Director General Tahir Hassan attended the Radio Pakistan meeting and told the committee that the April pension is still outstanding and that the Ministry of Finance has been contacted for the release of the fund.
The committee ordered immediate payment of full pension to 1,000 widow pensioners, around 31 Christian pensioners, and payment of above grade 17 should be stopped for the time being and the lower grades would be given on preferential basis. Payment order.
Order to regularize 50 daily wages employees of Urdu Pont, DG Radio told the committee that Zhob, Lora Lai and other such radio stations which have transmission problem, the cost of electricity is high due to this. Transfers of employees from there have been done, now we are allowing all these employees to work from home until the system is upgraded. The committee ordered that the staff issue be resolved within a week and the upgrade The process should be resolved within one month.
