Lahore, July 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): A high-level meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to speed up the work on public welfare projects and asked for a workable plan for sustainable solution of drainage problems in Lahore. He emphasized on the necessary measures for immediate drainage of rain water on the roads of Lahore and said that the lack of effective drainage system on major highways is noteworthy. Immediate drainage of water on Mall Road, Multan Road, Main Boulevard Gulberg and other major roads should not be neglected.

He said that the timely completion of development projects of big cities including Lahore is inevitable. In the meeting, a detailed briefing was given about the ongoing development projects of Lahore. Provincial Minister Housing Azfar Ali Nasir, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretaries Finance, Construction and Communications, Housing, Commissioner Lahore Division, LDA and CBD officials attended the meeting.
