Peshawar, September 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): A working group was formed for the merged districts. Which the caretaker provincial minister for amalgamation of districts will head. The Special Secretary will be the Secretary of the Planning and Development Working Group.

While DIG Police, P and D Department, Special Secretaries of Health, Education, Home and Minerals, Law Department and Additional Secretary of Tourism will also be part of the working group. The working group will ensure timely implementation of development projects in the merged districts, investments in various sectors and other important issues.

An officer from any other department or organization will also be included in the working group as required. Similarly, a special cell will also function under the working group. The Chief Secretary said that the development and prosperity of the merged districts is the top priority of the provincial government and practical steps are being taken on a priority basis under the integrated strategy. Opportunities in tourism, minerals, and mining, agriculture and livestock sectors are to be exploited in these districts.
