Islamabad, January 10, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that he has congratulated Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres for the successful holding of the international conference.

Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf thanked the European Union (EU), USAID, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), World Bank (WB), China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan, France, Azerbaijan. Paid more than $9 billion in generous aid to flood-affected people and reconstruction of affected areas and other climate change-related damages to help flood-affected people recover and rebuild infrastructure.

He also appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for drawing the world’s attention to the massive loss of life and property caused by recent floods in Pakistan.

A sign of success. He expressed confidence that a successful Geneva conference would help in the rehabilitation of the flood victims and reconstruction of the affected areas.
