Islamabad, January 12, 2022 (PPI-OT):The 70th diplomatic anniversary celebration between Japan and Pakistan is underway as the Japanese dolls exhibition titled “NINGYO: Art and Beauty of Japanese Dolls” is now jointly organized by the Embassy of Japan, Japan Foundation and Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).
The opening ceremony was inaugurated at the PNCA by H.E. WADA Mitsuhiro, Ambassador of Japan, with chief guest, Hon. Andleeb Abbas, member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs. The Ambassador WADA emphasized the importance of these dolls as they have been an important part of the Japanese culture for centuries shedding light upon the history of Japan from prehistoric to modern times.
Marking the 70th anniversary, the dolls exhibition is a delightful occasion for Pakistani friends to learn more about the Japanese dolls culture as the Japan Foundation endeavors to promote mutual understanding, setting its mission “Cultivating friendship and ties between Japan and the world”.
