Lahore, March 21, 2022 (PPI-OT): Colourful Cultural Day celebration was held at Punjab Cultural Complex on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab. Provincial Minister for Culture Khayal Ahmed Castro and Minister for School Education Murad Rass also graced the occasion. Commissioner Lahore Captain (R) Usman, Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar, DC Lahore Umar Sher Chatha, DGPR Saman Rai, ED Al-Hamra Zulfiqar Zulfi, DG Pilac Sughra Sadaf were also present on the occasion.

While addressing the event Provincial Minister for Culture Khayal Ahmed Castro said that about 1500 children from different schools dressed in traditional Punjabi attire and celebrated the occasion with full enthusiasm and zeal. On behalf of the Chief Minister of Punjab, I would like to thank all of you for celebrating this day with such energy.

The Provincial Minister further stated that today almost one crore children of Punjab schools are celebrating Culture Day and today we pledge to celebrate Culture Day on 14th March every year in the same way and every resident of Punjab would celebrate this day. Minister of Culture Khayal Ahmed Kastro vows to celebrate Cultural Day every year.

All the children also took an oath to celebrate Cultural Day every year. The Minister for Culture said that literary and cultural development is a manifestation of the greatness of any nation and March 14 will refresh the culture of Punjab every year.

Later, he attended another Cultural event at Alhamra in connection with Cultural Day. The event was full of colours. Secretary Information and Culture Raja Jahangir Anwar, ED Alhamra Zulfiqar Zulfi, DGPR Saman Rai and many other notables were present.
