Lahore, May 14, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Christian community in Sialkot foiled the attempt of PTI to forcefully hold a rally in Sialkot. The praiseworthy steps taken by the Sialkot police and administration are widely appreciated on the social media and the Christian community also highly appreciated the steps taken by the Punjab government. Video of DPO Sialkot for expressing solidarity with the Christian community went viral and the picture of a child saluting DPO was widely discussed.

The steps taken by the Punjab government to maintain law and order were appreciated. The prominent leaders of Christian community remarked that the timely action taken by the Punjab government averted the apprehension of a lapse in maintaining peace and expressed their profound gratitude to the Punjab government for maintaining as well as securing the sanctity of the church. They also appreciated that the Punjab government came to the forefront by becoming the saviour and protector of the rights of the Christian community.
