Lahore, March 27, 2023 (PPI-OT):The 9th meeting of the Provincial Cabinet was held in the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi. In the meeting, it was decided to cancel the licenses of 56 companies in violation of the rules.
The Punjab Cabinet has decided to cancel the licenses. Approved to start the process according to the rules and regulations. A committee was formed to complete all the rules and regulations regarding cancelling the license. While briefing the meeting, it was told that billions of rupees will be lost to the national exchequer by issuing licenses against the rules.
Damage was done and licenses were issued to companies of their choice without bidding and through open auction. Licenses were issued to 32 companies while license issuance to 24 companies is still at the offer stage. Approved steps to make it transparent.

Specialized healthcare and in the meeting Under the performance management system of medical education, the extension of the contract employees of the information and communication technology cell was approved, while the appointments of vice-chancellors, pro-vice-chancellors, controllers and registrars in the public universities of Punjab were approved with the permission of the Election Commission. In the meeting, the extension of the contract of the employees of Policy and Strategic Planning Unit of Primary and Secondary Health was approved. In the meeting, the resignation of Syed Zahid Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of Water Pak Authority was approved.
In the meeting, the issue of supplementary grant was approved for the construction, repair and maintenance of the damages caused to the rivers and drains during the current financial year. Appointment of experts/private members in Provincial Quality Control Board and District Quality Control Boards approved. 7 National Parks approved under Punjab Protected Areas Act 2020.
