The 15th meeting of the Provincial Cabinet chaired by caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi

Lahore, May 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): The 15th meeting of the provincial cabinet was held today in the Chief Minister’s Office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi. In the meeting of the Punjab Cabinet, taking an important step for e-governance, it was decided to close the traditional file system in all departments and implement the paperless system.

The period for adopting e-filing system for the departments will be effective till May 15. With this initiative of the Punjab government, billions of rupees will be saved. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also directed to digitize the ACRs. The Punjab Cabinet appreciated the efforts of Chairman Planning and Development Board, Secretary Implementation and Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board for introducing paperless system in the departments and appreciated their performance.

Taking a good initiative, it was decided to give laptops to intelligent students of Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Approved to give laptops to gifted students. Punjab Cabinet approved financial assistance of 15 lakh rupees per person for the families of the youths of Achhra who died when a jeep fell in Neelum River.

In the meeting, Punjab Police (Amendments to Ministerial Posts) Rules 2017 were approved. In the meeting, conditional approval was given to sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Special Education and the NGO “Tare Zameen Par” Trust. The Cabinet Standing Committee on Legal Affairs will review the memorandum of understanding and take the final decision.

In the meeting, the decisions of the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th meetings of the provincial cabinet were ratified. In the meeting of the provincial cabinet, the decisions of the second and third meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee for Finance and Development were also approved. The decisions of the first and second meeting of the Cabinet Standing Committee for Legal Affairs and Privatization were approved. The Cabinet Standing Committee for Peace and Aman’s.
