Rawalpindi, A terrorist attack aimed at the Pakistan Naval Base, PNS Siddique in Turbat, was successfully repelled by swift action from the troops on the night of 25/26 March 2024. According to Inter Services Public Relations, the effective collaboration between naval and nearby security forces led to the neutralization of all four terrorists involved in the attempted breach through a joint clearance operation. However, the confrontation was not without sacrifice. Sepoy Noman Fareed, a 24-year-old member of the Frontier Corps Balochistan from Muzaffargarh, was martyred in the exchange of fire.
