Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue condemned a terrorist attack on the Joint Check Post at Aman Mela, Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in the deaths and injuries of personnel from Pakistan Customs, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation Department. The attackers also targeted an ambulance carrying the wounded.

According to Federal Board of Revenue, the attack led to the martyrdom of Havaldar Farman Ullah and Sepoy Usama from Pakistan Customs. The FBR expressed its condolences to the families of the deceased, pledging support and care for them. The injured personnel, including Inspector Kashif and three sepoys, are receiving medical treatment, with the FBR ensuring necessary support for them and their families.

The FBR extended condolences to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and Excise and Taxation Department for their losses, acknowledging the shared grief and courage of the forces involved. The board emphasized the crucial role of Pakistan Customs in maintaining state order, highlighting their work in intercepting illegal activities and standing alongside other law enforcement agencies at critical points across the country.

The FBR underscored the resilience of its operations, asserting that the attack will not deter their personnel from continuing their duties. The board affirmed its commitment to honor the sacrifices of its fallen personnel by maintaining its presence and operations at key posts. The statement concluded with prayers for the deceased and wishes for a swift recovery for the injured.
