Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident in Telangana, a woman was sexually assaulted aboard a moving bus, as reported by local law enforcement officials. The attack occurred late at night when she was the only passenger left on the bus.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the victim, a 26-year-old homemaker, was attacked by the second driver of the private bus as it passed through the Tarnaka area of Hyderabad. The Osmania University police indicated that after the assault, the woman immediately called the emergency services. The assailant, identified only as Krishna, fled the scene prior to the arrival of the police. The victim was subsequently taken to a hospital for medical care.
Further actions by the Osmania University police included the arrest of the bus’s main driver as part of the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault.
