Srinagar, July 08, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed deep concern over the soaring unemployment in the territory.

Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami in a statement issued in Srinagar said the unemployment graph in the occupied territory has shot up considerably over the past several years laying bare the tall claims of the authorities about providing job opportunities to the unemployed youth. The available statistical data seriously contradicts such claims, he lamented.

The territory, he said, has been witnessing quantum leap in unemployment since the Modi-led Indian government repealed the special status of Kashmir and imposed military siege in the territory in August 2019

He said the facts and figures clearly reflect that the unemployment has reached to the levels never seen before. The authorities’ false narrative of investment and opening up new job opportunities stand exposed, he added. Instead of creating employment opportunities, the government has eased out many employees of their jobs, he lamented.
