Tara Chand Accuses Current Administration of Failing Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu: Congress leader Tara Chand criticized the ruling party at a public meeting in Dori Gulaba, asserting that it has failed the residents of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Jammu, across various aspects of governance.

According to Kashmir Media Service, during his address in the Chhamb Constituency area of Block Khara Balli, Chand claimed that the current government’s policies over the last decade have severely impacted the people, stripping them of their rights and dividing the historical territory. He accused the ruling party of prioritizing the interests of crony capitalists over the common man and stated, “Our identity, status rights, and resources have been snatched and moreover our democracy has been taken away.”

Chand expressed his belief in the Congress party’s vision of an inclusive and prosperous Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing equality and non-discrimination in terms of religion, caste, class, language, region, or creed. He rallied for continued efforts to restore what he described as infringed rights, underscoring the need for unity to counteract the ruling party’s policies.
