Muridke: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has urged provincial governments to strive for self-sufficiency in food production by enhancing their agricultural sectors. This call to action was made during a discussion with journalists in Muridke, highlighting the importance of regional agricultural development in ensuring food security across the nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister assured that the Federal Government maintains adequate wheat stocks, offering support particularly to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, should they need additional wheat supplies. This statement underscores the federal commitment to assist provinces in balancing their agricultural needs while working towards food independence.
Additionally, Minister Hussain emphasized the government’s efforts to provide economic relief in the forthcoming budget, signaling a broader focus on alleviating financial pressures on the population amidst ongoing agricultural and economic challenges.
