ISLAMABAD: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain engaged in a pivotal discussion with the Ambassador of Iran, focusing on bilateral agricultural trade and cooperation.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting underscored the necessity of advancing trade relations between Pakistan and Iran, with a particular emphasis on the agricultural sector. Minister Hussain pointed out Pakistan’s ability to supply high-quality rice, mangoes, and halal meat to Iran, which could address Iran’s increasing demand.
Both parties also considered the prospects for collaborative efforts in agricultural research and the application of renewable energy in agriculture. The discussion aimed at exploring mutual capacity building to benefit the agricultural sectors of both countries.
