Lahore, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi, the Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony, has made a public appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan for the introduction of reforms in the country’s judicial system. This call for change comes amidst growing concerns about the efficiency and effectiveness of the current judicial processes.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, speaking to journalists in Lahore on Sunday, Ashrafi highlighted the pressing need for judicial reforms. He also expressed concern over the incident that occurred on May 9th, underscoring the necessity of bringing those responsible to justice.
In addition to his comments on judicial reforms, Ashrafi shared insights into the stance of the Pakistani government regarding international issues. He revealed that Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a gesture of solidarity with the people of Palestine, has decided to prohibit all forms of New Year celebrations in Pakistan. This decision reflects the country’s support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to standing with the oppressed.
Moreover, Ashrafi announced that Pakistan has dispatched aid to assist innocent Palestinians, further demonstrating the country’s active engagement in international humanitarian efforts. This move aligns with Pakistan’s longstanding policy of supporting Palestine and its people in their struggles.
