London: Syed Yousuf Naseem, leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, has stated that Britain could significantly contribute to resolving the longstanding Kashmir and Palestine disputes. During a statement in London, Naseem emphasized the potential influence of Kashmiri and Pakistani immigrants in the UK, urging them to vote strategically in the upcoming general elections to support candidates who are committed to addressing these conflicts.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Naseem highlighted the historical context of the Kashmir issue, asserting that Britain’s historical involvement positions it uniquely to help mediate these disputes. He expressed concerns that unresolved issues in Kashmir and Palestine could escalate to global conflict and emphasized the role of Britain, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, in facilitating peaceful resolutions. Naseem called for the support of political parties that advocate for the resolution of these disputes in line with United Nations resolutions, including the unconditional right to self-determination for Kashmiris and a two-state solution for Palestine.
