Srinagar, September 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has released a five-day protest calendar appealing to the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to observe shutdown for five days in the occupied territory, starting today (Friday), in the wake of the passing away of veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani in custody and the authorities’ unjust and inhuman action of barring people from paying homage to the legendary figure in the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle.
As part of the protest calendar, the APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, appealed to the people of the occupied territory to offer funeral in absentia for Shaheed Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani after Friday prayers in Kashmir valley, Jammu and Ladakh regions.
The people have also been asked to conduct a march towards Hyderpora, Srinagar, for three days, starting today. On Monday, the Kashmiris have been asked to march towards Eidgah as a mark of protest against the Indian oppression. On Tuesday, Kashmiris living across the world have been asked to hold protests outside the Indian High Commissions against unilateral actions taken by Modi-led fascist Indian government since 5 August 2019 to fortify its illegal occupation of the territory.
