Islamabad, September 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):A condolence reference in the memory of Shaheed senior Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani was held at Press Club in Islamabad. The function was organized by Friends of Kashmir International. The speakers in their speeches on the occasion paid rich tributes to Syed Ali Gilani and said that Kashmiri people would not spare any sacrifice to carry forward the mission of the late leader to its logical conclusion. They said that the candle lit by Syed Ali Gilani for the freedom of Jammu and Kashmir would never be allowed to get extinguished till freedom.
The speakers said that the late Quaid was a true friend of Pakistan and had very strong arguments regarding the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. They said that Syed Ali Gilani stood firm like a rock till his last breath and no tactic by India could take him away from his stand. They said that India was fighting a losing battle in the occupied Kashmir and its oppression has failed to subdue Kashmiris. They advised India to read the writing on the wall and give the Kashmiri people their inalienable the right to self-determination.
Federal Minister Syed Fakhr Imam, former AKK Prime Minister Sardar Atiq Ahmad Khan, Sobia Kamal, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Irshad Mahmood, Ghazala Habib Khan, Afzal Butt, Mazhar Barlas, Amir Mehboob, Dr. Khalid Aftab Silhari, Zaman Bajwa and Abdul Hameed Lone spoke on the occasion.
