Suspicious Death of Village Defence Guard in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir


Jammu, A Village Defence Guard (VDG) member, identified as Balwant Singh, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Doda district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred on Friday, raising concerns and prompting a police investigation.



According to Kashmir Media Service, Balwant Singh associated with the Indian army-backed Village Defence Guard, was discovered dead with his rifle nearby in Doda town. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear and have led to suspicion.



Following the discovery of Singh’s body, local authorities and a police team were immediately dispatched to the scene. The body was subsequently transported to a hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
