Suspected Monkeypox Case in Islamabad Tests Negative


Islamabad: A suspected monkeypox case reported at PIMS Hospital has tested negative. The sample, sent to the National Institute of Health, confirmed no presence of the virus in the 47-year-old resident of Azad Kashmir.



According to Press Information Department, this incident marks only the second suspected monkeypox case in Pakistan, with the first also confirmed negative. The Ministry of Health reassured the public that it is closely monitoring the situation and has implemented effective measures to safeguard against any potential spread of monkeypox within the country.
