Islamabad, The Supreme Court of Pakistan has concluded the technical evaluation for its major IT equipment procurement. This procurement, conducted under Tender No. 07-2023/24, is a significant step in modernizing the Court’s technological infrastructure through open competitive bidding, as mandated by Rule 35 of the Public Procurement Rules, 2004.

According to Supreme Court of Pakistan, the evaluation process was comprehensive, involving a Technical Specification Committee which assessed bids on May 8, 2024. Fourteen bids were received, with several firms meeting the stringent technical requirements for supplying various IT equipment, including desktop computers, printers, and software licenses. Notably, M/s. Compsi (Pvt.) Ltd, Islamabad, and M/s. Wise Tech (Pvt.) Ltd, Rawalpindi were among those whose bids were accepted for significant portions of the tender, such as the supply of 200 branded desktop computers each.

The evaluation also highlighted challenges with other bids where non-compliance with delivery schedules and technical specifications led to rejections. For instance, M/s. Texitech, Karachi, and M/s. Document Solution Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd, Islamabad, faced rejections for parts of their bids due to unacceptable delivery times and non-compliance with the specified technical standards.

This procurement initiative is part of the Supreme Court’s ongoing efforts to enhance its operational efficiency and ensure robust technological support for its administrative and judicial functions. The report underscores the Court’s commitment to transparency and adherence to established procurement protocols, ensuring that only the most qualified bids are accepted.
