Islamabad, The Supreme Court of Pakistan has concluded the technical evaluation for its recent open competitive bidding process for the procurement of IT equipment. The process saw various companies submitting bids to supply a wide range of IT hardware and software, including desktop computers, printers, servers, and projectors, among others.
According to Supreme Court of Pakistan, a total of fourteen bids were received by the deadline on May 6, 2024. The evaluations were conducted by the Court’s Technical Specification Committee on May 8, 2024. Companies such as Compsi (Pvt.) Ltd and Wise Tech (Pvt.) Ltd were successful in their bids to supply desktop computers, while other bids were rejected based on non-compliance with delivery timelines and technical specifications as stated in the tender document.
Notably, the bid from M/s. Compsi (Pvt.) Ltd was accepted for a substantial supply including 200 branded desktop computers, 178 printers, and several software licenses. Meanwhile, M/s. Texitech, based in Karachi, faced rejections for their bids on computers and laptops due to discrepancies in the delivery period and processor specifications compared to what was required in the tender document.
The bid evaluation process highlighted several instances where bids were rejected for not meeting the required criteria, such as the lack of documentary proof of experience or non-adherence to specified delivery periods. These rejections underline the strict compliance requirements set out by the Supreme Court to ensure timely and specification-compliant deliveries.
The outcomes of this procurement process are crucial for upgrading the Court’s IT infrastructure and enhancing its operational capabilities. The next step in the procurement process involves the financial opening for the accepted bids, which will further determine the final suppliers for this project.
