Supreme Court Adjourns Suo Motu Notice Hearing Raised by IHC Judges

Karachi, The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing of a suo motu notice concerning issues highlighted by six Islamabad High Court (IHC) judges in a letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). The seven-member bench led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa deliberated on the case, hinting at a possible full court session for the next hearings scheduled for the end of January.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the hearing, the Chief Justice indicated that the case might be transferred to a full court for the hearings on the 29th or 30th of this month. The Attorney General, representing the federal government, expressed commitment to the judiciary’s independence and pledged comprehensive support to the court in resolving the issue at hand.
