Islamabad, In a significant move to advance Pakistan’s technology industry, the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) and the National Radio and Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC) have signed a zone development agreement valued at 12.5 billion rupees. The partnership aims to enhance the nation’s technological infrastructure and capabilities.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the agreement signing ceremony took place at the STZA headquarters in Islamabad. The collaboration is set to utilize the NRTC’s operational facility in Haripur, which spans 46.88 acres and is equipped with cutting-edge technological infrastructure. This initiative is supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which views the STZA as a crucial component of Pakistan’s economic strategy.
The collaboration between STZA and NRTC is designed to transform and accelerate the growth of Pakistan’s high-tech sector, enabling the country to compete more effectively in regional and global markets. This agreement underscores the SIFC’s commitment to meeting the digital transformation needs of the country by fostering the development of indigenous technology.
