Students hold protest in Srinagar against sealing of school by Hindutva regime

Srinagar, October 24, 2022 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, several students along with their teachers staged a protest on Monday in Srinagar’s press colony against the sealing of their school by the Indian authorities. Speaking to the media persons on the occasion, the teachers said that the school located in Srinagar’s Mahraj Gunj had been shut through an official order after Hindutva regime demanded evacuation of the school building.

The parents said, the school has been operating for the past thirty years. “We have not been provided with any reasons for the shutting down of the school.” The students are preparing for exams and the shutting down of the school has caused immense trouble, they complained. The students who were part of the protest said that the school was shut down a few days ago. “The Tehsildar along with other officials came a few days ago and shut down the school for reasons unknown,” they added.
