Islamabad: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the necessity of robust national and commercial branding to bolster Pakistan’s export sector.
According to Radio Pakistan, Iqbal addressed a stakeholder roundtable conference titled “National Branding, Pakistan’s Rising Soft Power and Brand-Led Exports” in the city today. He underscored that despite Pakistan’s production of world-class goods such as high-end textiles, surgical instruments, and sports equipment, the nation often forfeits substantial value by allowing these products to be marketed under foreign brands.
The Minister outlined that the national brand strategy would focus on seven key pillars: Culture, Exports, Governance, Diplomacy and Defence, Entertainment, Tourism, and Sports.
