Strengthening Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Bilateral Relations through Parliamentary Friendship Groups

Islamabad, February 16, 2023 (PPI-OT):In order to know the ongoing bilateral and trade engagements between the Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and to discuss the process of enhancing Parliamentary cooperation, the briefing sessions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Commerce Ministry was held today, 16th February, 2023 at 1200 hours at Parliament House, Islamabad.

Convener Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group (PFG) Ms. Shagufta Jumani, MNA chaired the briefing session. Bilateral and trade relations and issues of mutual interest of both countries were briefed by the both Ministries in detail.

Ms. Shagufta Jumani and the members of the Pakistan – Saudi Arabia PFG reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further fortify its fraternal ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ms. Shagufta Jumani said that Parliamentary exchanges would help to further strengthen bilateral relations. She opined that bilateral relations would be further strengthened by investment of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan.

Members of the Pakistan – Saudi Arabia PFG stressed the importance of continued coordination between the two countries. They urged to further strengthen the existing relations based on brotherhood and fraternity. They also advised both Ministries to further strengthen institutionalized linkages between the two countries.
