Steps are being taken for uninterrupted supply of water in Islamabad 

Islamabad, May 16, 2022 (PPI-OT):In this regard, the Water Supply Department of the Capital Development Authority has decided to replace the water supply lines on the green belts of Sector F-Seven, Islamabad, with a 15-inch diameter to a 16-inch diameter with a budget of about Rs. 43 million. Has been allocated.

Similarly, it has been decided to replace the water delivery lines from the green belts of Sector F-8 with a 15-inch dia for a 16-inch dia for which a budget of Rs. 38 million has been set by the Water Supply Department. Meanwhile, a budget of Rs. 9 million has been allocated by the Water Supply Department for replacement of electrical equipment of various tube wells in Sector H and I series of Islamabad.

In addition, a budget of Rs. 36 million has been earmarked by the Water Supply Department for the transfer of water supply pipelines coming under development works from Tenth Avenue to IJP Road, Srinagar Highway.

Similarly, a budget of about Rs. 50 million has been allocated for the upgrade of motors installed in various water installations in Islamabad. Meanwhile, it has been decided to replace the 16-inch HDPC line with 21 Dias in Hona Faqiran area for which a budget of over Rs. 21 million has been allocated.

It has also been decided to replace the water installations at Shakar Padiyan with 18 inch diameter pipelines for which a budget of Rs. 24 million has been allocated. A budget of Rs. 2 million has also been allocated for replacement of line Dias.

Thus, a total budget of Rs. 22 crore has been allocated by the Water Supply Department and tenders will be published in newspapers soon. On this occasion, the Chairman CDA appreciated the initiative of the Water Supply Department and said that the steps being taken for uninterrupted supply of water in the city should be further intensified. In this regard, the CDA administration has also appealed to the citizens to be careful in the use of water and to avoid wastage of water so that more and more water can be used by the citizens.
