State Bank of Pakistan Reduces Policy Rate by 250 Basis Points

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has reduced its policy rate by 250 basis points, bringing it down to 15 percent. This decision was made during a meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee held in Karachi today.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the new policy rate will be effective starting tomorrow. The Committee observed that inflation has been decreasing at a faster pace than anticipated, prompting the decision to lower the policy rate.
