Karachi: Principal, teachers, and students from St. Lawrence Government Girls Degree College Karachi recently visited the Governor House as part of an awareness initiative aimed at involving youth in nation-building efforts. The visit provided students with insights into historical and contemporary projects at the Governor House.
According to Sindh Governor House, the visit was organized under the directive of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri. Students were given a tour of the historical room dedicated to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, where they examined various artifacts. The visit also included stops at the “Bell of Hope,” a complaint cell, a ration drive, and an IT marquee.
The students expressed interest and appreciation for the initiatives. They were particularly intrigued by the “Bell of Hope” and engaged with staff at the complaint cell to understand its operations. The ration drive, intended to support the underprivileged, was lauded for its social impact, with teachers noting that such welfare measures inspire a spirit of social service among students.
The tour concluded with a visit to the IT marquee, where students showed enthusiasm for modern technology and inquired about the Governor’s various projects. Faculty members praised the ongoing initiatives, emphasizing their potential to nurture positive thinking among students.
