ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Muhammad Shoaib Khan, convened a crucial meeting with officers from the City and Saddar zones to evaluate current crime trends and refine operational tactics. The session included participation from Station House Officers (SHOs) representing both zones.
In the meeting, SSP Khan issued specific instructions to intensify efforts against criminal gangs and ensure the apprehension of their fugitive members. He underscored the need for compiling data on individuals involved in property-related offenses and emphasized that arrests should be made promptly.
SSP Khan highlighted the necessity for all ongoing investigations to be completed with integrity, urging that case files be submitted to the appropriate courts without undue delay. Officers were also tasked with maintaining vigilant surveillance over previously released individuals with a history of property crimes, and to re-arrest them swiftly should they re-offend.
Special attention was directed toward addressing vehicle and motorcycle thefts, with a call for increased arrests of those declared as proclaimed offenders. SSP Khan reiterated that the safeguarding of citizens’ lives and property remains a paramount concern, warning that negligence in these duties would not be tolerated.
