Islamabad: In a move to bolster security at churches across the federal capital, the Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has initiated comprehensive measures to ensure the safety of religious sites.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations, Capt. (retd) Ali Raza Qazi, undertook field visits to various churches in Islamabad. During these inspections, he evaluated the security personnel’s performance and directed enhancements to existing security protocols.
SSP Qazi’s assessment included examining the deployment at entry and exit points, parking areas, and the surrounding vicinities of the churches. He also reviewed the broader security plan in place.
In discussions with church administrators, SSP Qazi emphasized the Islamabad Police’s commitment to safeguarding citizens of all faiths. He encouraged the public to cooperate fully with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities to police stations or through the police helpline, Pucar-15.
Highlighting the importance of community collaboration, SSP Qazi stated that a strong partnership between the police and the public is essential for maintaining peace and security.
