ISLAMABAD: In a bid to bolster security across the federal capital, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) investigations Islamabad, Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, conducted visits to various police pickets and duty points. The visits, aimed at ensuring heightened security measures, follow directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, SSP Butt engaged with officers and personnel at each location, reviewing the existing checking processes. He issued directives to enhance the effectiveness of these measures, emphasizing the importance of protecting citizens’ lives and property. Officers were instructed to remain vigilant, conduct thorough checks on individuals and vehicles, and promptly report any suspicious activities.
The SSP also underscored the need for police officers to maintain polite and respectful interactions with citizens, a move intended to foster trust between the police force and the public. The overarching goal of the Islamabad Police is to safeguard the community, with all security strategies implemented in line with this objective.
Citizens have been encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities or individuals to local police stations or through the “Pucar-15” helpline.
