SSP Baramulla’s statement deflates Indian General’s arms recovery claim

Srinagar, December 26, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, in what tall claims raised by the Modi regime about the so-called huge discovery of arms and ammunition along the Line of Control in Baramulla district, Baramulla senior superintendent of police (SSP) has categorically stated that “no major infiltration took place in the sector, this year”.

The statement comes a day after General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Indian army’s 19 Infantry Division Major General Ajay Chandpuria claimed to have recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir.

“On December 24, the security forces had recovered a large number of guns and pistols from Hathlanga Nala of Uri. The search operation yielded recovery of eight AK series rifles along with 24 magazines and 560 live rounds, 12 Chinese pistols along with 24 magazines and 244 live rounds, nine Chinese hand grenades and five Pakistani hand grenades. The forces also recovered 81 balloons with marking of ‘I Love Pakistan’ and Pakistani flag on them,” the GOC said.

However, SSP Rayees Butt, while addressing the media along with army officials, said, “We have so far successfully managed to keep the infiltration at bay.” The SSP’s statement deflated the GOC’s claim as experts question that where there had been no infiltration, then what to say about arms recovery. The experts also believe that the Major General Ajay Chandpuria’s arms recovery claim is a well-planned anti-Pakistan propaganda being advanced at the behest of Hindutva regime in India under evil designs.
