SRINAGAR, A tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district resulted in the death of three passengers and injuries to 15 others. The incident occurred when a mini bus veered off the road and plunged into a 300-feet gorge at Kainchi Morh.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the bus was en route from Kotranka to Rajouri when the driver lost control while navigating a blind curve. Rescue operations were promptly initiated, and 18 individuals were taken to the Government Medical College (GMC) associated hospital in Rajouri. Three of the passengers were declared dead upon arrival.
Mehmood H Bajar, the Medical Superintendent at GMC Rajouri, reported that 15 injured individuals were admitted for treatment, with efforts underway to save the lives of those critically injured.
The accident has brought attention to the need for improved road safety measures in the region.
