Srinagar Community Mourns the Loss of Abdul Majeed Mir’s Spouse

Srinagar, The Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, has announced its profound condolences over the passing of the spouse of Abdul Majeed Mir, a retired civil chief engineer and esteemed member of both the Auqaf and Anjuman Nusratul-Islam. The loss has deeply affected the community, highlighting the familial bonds and respect shared among its members.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Anjuman Auqaf released a statement expressing sorrow for the Mir family’s loss, noting the close and longstanding relationship between Abdul Majeed Mir’s family and the Mirwaiz family. The ties between the two families are described as both deep and neighborly, underscoring the personal loss felt by the community.

The funeral prayer for the deceased was led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, attended by a diverse group of individuals from various sectors of society. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq conveyed his condolences, remembering the deceased as a virtuous, pious, and deeply religious woman. He extended his sympathy to Abdul Majeed Mir, his sons Faheem Mir and Dr. Faisal Mir, and the rest of their family, praying for eternal peace for the departed and strength for the bereaved.

In a separate but equally heartfelt message, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also expressed his sorrow over the tragic loss of three sisters from the same family in a fire incident in the Ramso area of the Ramban district, reflecting the community’s shared grief over these profound losses.
