Lahore, August 30, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said about the ongoing special measures for the health welfare of the police force that the health screening of more than 0.2 lakh police officers and personnel has been completed while the screening of families is also ongoing, IG Punjab said that Psychological profiling of the police force is ongoing in all districts, treatment of more than 15,000 personnel suffering from various disorders has also started. Dr. Usman Anwar said that indoor and outdoor services have been started in police welfare hospitals with the support of health department and now they are starting telemedicine for the treatment of constables in remote districts.
Dr. Usman Anwar said that he is grateful to Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for making Lahore Police Welfare Hospital a part of King Edward Medical University, while Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram, Secretary Health Ali Jan and Vice Chancellor for upgrading Police Welfare Hospital.
